Twisted Games by Ana Huang. Rhys Larsen has two rules: Protect his clients and do not get emotionally involved. Rhys always followed the rules, until her. Bridget von Aschberg is a stubborn princess who turns everything he is into ash. Spending every minute of every day, she breaks down his walls. He swore to protect her. She is his. His forbidden love. 

My FAVORITE couple in this series! They are not supposed to be together; a forbidden love. Will they beat the odds to stay together? Ana Huang’s writing style, is marvelous, as always. I cried, I laughed, I jumped for joy. The emotional roller coaster this book made me go on was one I never thought I needed. 

I connected a lot with Bridget. In some ways I grew up, I put a mask on for the public to see and hid everything else. Her stubbornness, her willpower, her control. She is the light-hearted, the leader, the perfect queen. Let’s just say it, SLAY QUEEN. 

Rhys, oh my goodness. My heart hurts for the way he feels. Thinking he is not good enough or deserving of Bridget. He knows what Bridget needs at every point. He is her protector physically and emotionally. This book did not have the betrayal I dreaded and I liked the change. Spice: I would not recommend giving this to your mother to read. The spice made me blush. :)

Overall, this book was a big winner for me. I connected with Bridget and Rhys. They are my favorite couple. Both Rhys and Bridget had a story that I related to. I liked that there was no ultimate betrayal that left you wondering if they would make it. It was a twisted fairy tale.
